Books

I am in need of some new books to read. Any good ideas? I like most genres, but I'm really not wanting to read anything too depressing. The last book that I read that I really liked and was sad it was over was The Thirteenth Tale (can't remember the author's name right now). Maybe I talked about it once before. Anyway, that's my suggestion if anyone else is looking for a good read.

Thanks for the update with new photos! So great to "see" you guys and hear you are getting into a routine in ML. I love reading Jodi Picoult books. She covers topics that really make you think, but easy to read. My favorite Chick Lit is Jennifer Weiner - so funny! Check out "Good in Bed" "In Her Shoes" or "Little Earthquakes"

We have a book clb in our neighborhood and we just finished " The Memory keepers daughter" last month. It wasn't my favorite, but it was interesting. We are reading "Mothering: A spiritual Journey" this month. Are you on Good Reads? If not you should join and find me, I have a list on there. Right now I am also reading the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, it goes really fast and makes me laugh really hard. Also, I loved the unabrigded "Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexander Dumas. It's clever and intricate.

I'm looking for good books too. I'm going to have to try the Thirteenth Tale.

I've read the Shopaholic series and they are fun mindless reads. I was actually thinking of reading the Count of Monte Cristo too. I heard the book is really good.

I seriously read at least 3 books a week. Ahhh. I don't know how I read so many. But the last really good one I read was The Seer and the Sword by Victoria Hanley. Now just give it a chance. Moses Lake library will have it. I LOVED IT. It looks like it might be a dungeon and dragons book....but it is good. It is a teen book so a quick read. Also I really liked Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale. (a lot of the books I read are teen books...sigh...but they are the easiest to read when you have kids because it isn't to hard to read with a lot of distractions). Also East by Edith Pattou
Um...if you like romance novels, there Julie Garwood has some murder mystery romance novels that are current day...and not very dirty...such as Ransom, Heartbreaker, and Murder List. Hahaaa. I have a million more suggestions. But read the Sword and the Seer. LOVE YOU

I just finished The Thirteenth Tale as well, I liked it but yeah it was a little sad. My favorites are by two guy who write together Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. They are a little scary but they do some pretty cool research. We miss you guys and are so sad we didn't get to see you while you were here. Keep in touch. Our blog is now petecourt.blogspot.com
