summer birthday fun

Elsie went to a friend's birthday party the other day and one of my friends that was helping took these cute pictures of her.

Don't you love the crack?

the hangout

There's a fun pool and splash park that we go to a lot during the summer because it's cheap and it's a bit more fun that the plastic pool in the backyard. It usually takes Elsie about 1/2 hour to decide she actually wants to be there unless Aaron is with us. Then she's all smiles and full of energy. I guess I'm just not as fun. It could be that I'm usually there with friends and we tend to talk more than play!

Elsie loves the play with the fountains.

She loves to sit on the fountains. And stay there for a long time. Hmm?!
Giving some attitude to Dad!

she's crafty

I love that she loves to craft. She loves to color, to paint, to do stickers. We're going to have some fun in the future!

I had to include this picture she drew on her magna doodle thing. She's obsessed with drawing these little people on everything. I think they are so cute. :)

The Metro

We all love having a clean car, right?!

Aaron has become obsessed with this new car wash by our house that does not cost very much and does a pretty awesome job. Plus it actually usually brushes and sponges to clean, not just spraying water. Elsie was a bit scared at first but really quite enjoys it now.

But her favorite part is the free vacuums. Yes, I said free. That's Aaron's favorite part as well.

Mannequin

Okay, so I'll totally admit that I LOVED the movie "Mannequin" when I was younger. You know I'm not the only one! Looks like Elsie's getting ready to star in a sequel.

Oh, wait......that's a girl mannequin. Oh no!!
Yes, she does love to talk to, hug, and kiss the little girl mannequin in Old Navy. She also loves the little dog. I guess it's cute...that's what I keep telling myself.

today

Elsie informed me today that her favorite animals are horses and tigers. Just thought I would note that to see if it changes over time or if she's loyal like I was with cats. Maybe I need to start building her horse/tiger collection.

Elsie recently became obsessed with "Single Ladies" again after our trip to WA. She walks around the house singing the "oh oh oh" part with hand motion and "all the single ladies." I can't help but smile! We were listening to the song in the car today and she was doing her usual singing and turning of the hand. I started singing and dancing along. She said, "Mom, you can't copy me. This not your song. This my song," in the snottiest little voice. Wow, okay. I guess I am no longer cool. How can they be so snotty and cute at the same time?!
