SYTYCD

I had to share my thoughts on Dance from last week since I haven't posted for a few days. I'm so thrilled that Kameron was kicked off instead of Dominic. Mostly because Angie would have gone into a deep depression if he was gone, and that's no good! I did try to convince her that she could have a crush on Neil if Dominic was kicked off (because we both think Neil is pretty funny), but she was disgusted with me that I would even suggest that. I had to take it back!

rise and shout

When we were in Utah last week, both my mom and Aaron's parents bought Elsie some BYU gear. She looks so cute in it. It does have matching socks, too, that you can't see in the picture.
Here's another cute picture that I snuck while Aaron was putting Elsie to bed. Elsie loves sticking her hand in our mouth and having us suck on her fingers. She could do it for hours. Sometimes it's the only way to get her to calm down and go to sleep. She can always count on her daddy to do it for her.
Well, I'm kind of not looking forward to this week because we have absolutely nothing planned. When I don't have anything to look forward to the days get pretty monotonous. I guess I could probably come up with something, but there's not much to do when it's 100 degrees out and you have a little baby. This is why I'm always trying to convince Aaron to come home early from work. I need some entertainment! Not that Elsie isn't as cute as can be...but she's not much of a conversationalist. We did try to get her pictures taken last week, but it didn't work out because she was grumpy. Maybe I can reschedule for this week. I guess I could always clean...or not!

sad to say goodbye

Well, I finished Harry Potter this morning. I am so sad that I am done with the book because that means there are not more books to look forward to. Aaron told me last night when he finished that I should slow down and enjoy it, but I didn't take his advice. For those of you who are still readying, I'm jealous!

So You Think You Can Dance is on tonight. That makes me feel better! It is quite pathetic how much I look forward to it each week. Actually, who am I trying to kid. I know my family is reading this, I don't have to be ashamed of my love for the show. Personally, I'm ready for Danny and Lacey to go. Then, I will have a harder time deciding who I'm ready to see leave.

Last night Wrigley came in the house with us to hang out. It was really the first time that I've ever noticed Elsie being interested in him. (which was good for us because she was being a GROUCH...it was a great distraction!) Wrigley was loving the attention and kept licking Elsie's feet and hands. It was really cute. Elsie was laughing! Especially when he licked her feet...she's ticklish like I am. Needless to say, she was very slobbery, so she took a shower with Aaron. That's only the second time she's been in the shower, so she is so fascinated by the water coming down. It's so much fun to see her discover new things. She's too cute!

My love for Harry!

Well, I have not been able to get anything done the last few days because all I want to do is read Harry Potter. I can't wait for Elsie to take her naps, so I can read. I'm kind of faking sick to myself, so that I can read instead of working out. Aaron and I had a major read-a-thon last night after we put her to bed. I need to finish, so that I can move on with my life.

It was kind of funny last night because Aaron was making crazy sounds in his sleep. I thought it was weird, and during the night it was freaking me out. This morning he said that he was having crazy dreams about Harry Potter and the book. It all made sense! It's like after he would have nights of playing Halo for hours. He wouldn't be able to get to sleep very easily, and, when he did, he would have Halo dreams where bombs were exploding and stuff.

I did it!!

So, I made a commitment to my cousins this past weekend that I would start a blog. Now I'm feeling like I really don't know what to write about. It's kind of weird thinking that other people will be reading this, and I may not even know it. (Kind of like I do on other people's blogs!) But, it will be fun!!
Today I took Elsie to the doctor for her six month check-up. Everything went really well. She weighs 14 lbs. 6 oz. and is just about 25 in. long. She's still around the 10th percentile, but her head is in the 50th percentile. She gets that from Aaron! This past weekend her two bottom teeth finally broke through. I'm so excited because I was thinking she was going to be a late bloomer...since she did just roll over for the first time last week. It's o.k., Aaron and I both were late bloomers. Aaron is still hoping to grow six inches, and I'm still waiting to fully develop. (If you know what I mean.) I'm excited to officially start Elsie on some solids. I tried the rice cereal a couple of times, but how boring is that! It will be fun to see her try new things. I gave her some frosty from Wendy's the other day. She seemed to like it, but it's probably not what I should start with. Today we tried squash...she didn't like that so much. I don't blame her!
