our life

I love knowing what's going on with people. I love knowing about the day to day life of the people I love. I love that I can get on the computer and have a "conversation" with all the people I love while I read their blogs or check facebook. It really makes me happy. I know I don't comment enough...mostly laziness (I'm not going to lie!). I love feeling connected.

I went out to lunch with a couple cousins a couple weeks and had a blast catching up on life. We talked non-stop for like two hours and it felt like no time at all.

Whether it's reading a blog or having lunch at Carl's Jr., I love knowing about your life.

Here's what's going on here:

One of the questions we get asked all the time is "Are you guys moving to Utah?" The answer is "Yes"...but we don't know when. We have a plan to try to get down there by the end of summer. Aaron is doing some extra work to pay off some debt and get ourselves in a better position to make the leap, but we are still unsure if this summer or next year would be better. Aaron is planning on going out on his own when we get down there, so there's some preparation and risk involved. It will happen when we feel we are prepared enough. There will never be an easy time to do it, but it's got to feel right...to both of us. That's hard!

Like I said, Aaron is doing some extra work at night, so Elsie and I have had to get used to not having him around a lot. Fortunately, it just weeknights, so we really cherish the weekend! I am so grateful that he's making this sacrifice. When I start feeling sorry for myself on the long days, I just remind myself that I'm the one that gets to stay home and chill with Elsie. He's definitely got the short end of the stick. He's always home for dinner, and we love that.

We don't have any vacations planned for this summer because we are saving up and paying off stuff as much as we can. I hate not having plans. We'll see how long I last. Jared/Lindsay...I'm sure you'll be seeing Elsie and I sometime this summer for a little getaway! It's so hard to plan for the summer with things so up in the air.

Even with all this on our minds every day, life is great. And that feels good. :)

I absolutely love the good old computer too! (AND I love all the posting you're doing with your convenient new laptop!)
I don't know what we did before blogs and FB!!!

Grr...I wrote a big long comment and blogger erased it!

Anyways, I agree with you. I love to know what people are doing. I'm not the best at commenting either, but love reading the blogs. I wish people blogged as much as they facebooked!

I've been there with the "husband doing extra work" and it stinks sometimes. Hang in there!

We would LOVE for you guys to come and visit. Please feel free to come whenever you'd like. You guys moving is really a "bittersweet" thing for Jared and I. Of course we are excited and happy for you to finally move because we know how much you want that to happen, but it's sad because we'll be so far away from the rest of the family. Nevertheless, we hope you are able to make it happen sooner rather than later!

Maybe we can come visit you guys too in July. Jared has no vacation days left, due to D-land trip and that blasted Trek, but maybe we can swing it anyway!

I love that you are here and so close and so mad at myself that I didn't take more advantage of it before you guys decided to leave!!! It definitely makes me thankful for blogs because I really do feel like I know exactly what's going on with all of my family...so you better be good about posting!
