a very bad dream

I'm still here! I'm the slacker that still hasn't written a post because, frankly, I haven't wanted to. (Maybe blogging just isn't for me?!) I still feel like I'm having a bad dream and can't wake up! It's not like I'm in a deep depression or anything, I just don't feel happy. I'm sure it will get better.

I know most everyone that reads my blog also reads Angie's and Lindsay's. If you haven't read theirs recently, they both wrote really wonderful posts about my mom. Here's the link to Angie's and Lindsay's blogs.

I am so grateful for all the love and support I've received from family and friends. It's amazing how many people there are that care about me. I appreciate everyone that was able to come to the funeral. It was nice to be able to share that with everyone.

I have a lot of things to blog about (and a lot of past blogging to catch up on), so check back later this week. I'll be here with a smiling face!! Not that anyone can see it...but I promise!

It's OK for you to blog without a happy face...I wouldn't be smiling all the time right now either. Love you, Kim!!

Kim, I don't know if you remember me, I'm Kristie (Wedig) Salter, Karla's daughter. Anyway, I'm soooo sorry about your Mom, we just found out yesterday and my Mom took it realllly hard, she wishes she could have been at the funeral and if she would have known she would have. She wanted you kids to know how much she loved your mother and that she is here for you guys if you need ANYTHING! leave your email address on my blog and I will send you her current information if you need anything, old pix or just some fun memories to chat about once your feeling up to it. I would love to be a blog buddy to if that's ok with you! You are always in my thoughts and prayers!
Kristie

I'm sure it all seems like a bad dream. I wouldn't be able to blog either. Love you.

We're thinking of you Kim! It's okay to be sad and unhappy for as long as you need. It takes time to really readjust your life to your new reality. The days do start going better, but for me it was a really slow process. And still there are moments where I burst into tears over my dad-no one expects you to bounce back into how things were. Call if you need to talk-let me know when you are coming down again.

We were so glad to be able to be there. You have such an amazing family. You have always been so sweet to me, I am so sorry you have to go through this. I am sure it will get better with time. Until then...you're in our prayers. We love you!

Oh Kim! Take your time to find that happy face. I hope you can smile and laugh at the silly things Elsie is doing, but no smiles are needed about life in general these days. Sad times call for sad feelings. We're thinking of you guys and remembering your mom daily.
